Transmission is a radio-based live performance work taking place over multiple locations through the night. Listening on a hand-held transistor radio, audience tune to ‘Night Radio’, an enigmatic live radio broadcast, which draws them on to an unknown destination – on a journey outwardly through the night streets of Newport and inwardly through the soul of the night and all that that suggests.

Transmission is a personalised experience for multiple participants. The work interweaves live radio broadcast, installation, live performance and the night sky. The work has been developed with support from The Substation, Newport and CounterCurrent, Houston.
